Domaine Maurice Lapalus & Fils

Domaine Lapalus Maurice & Fils is a family-run winery located in the village of Pierreclos, in the heart of the Mâconnais region of southern Burgundy. Established for three generations, the estate has a long-standing tradition of winemaking while embracing modern viticulture techniques. Spanning 17 hectares, the domaine is known for producing a variety of wines, including Mâcon Pierreclos (both red and white), Pouilly-Fuissé, and Crémant de Bourgogne.

In 2015, Domaine Lapalus Maurice & Fils earned the prestigious Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE) certification, a testament to their commitment to sustainable and environmentally friendly practices. This certification highlights the family’s dedication to respecting the natural balance of the land, producing wines that reflect the purity of the terroir.

The domaine’s winemaking philosophy balances traditional Burgundian methods with innovation. For example, they craft their Chardonnay and Gamay wines in the purest Burgundian tradition, aging them in a manner that emphasizes the finesse and complexity of the region’s terroirs.

With Christophe Lapalus joining the family business in 2000, the domaine underwent significant modernization, including the construction of a new, spacious winery to enhance production efficiency. Today, the domaine produces approximately 90,000 bottles annually, showcasing the unique qualities of their terroir through their wide range of wines. Domaine Lapalus Maurice & Fils is deeply rooted in both tradition and innovation, offering a wide array of wines that capture the essence of southern Burgundy. Their commitment to sustainable practices ensures that each bottle not only delivers exceptional quality but also reflects their respect for the environment and winemaking heritage.
