Welcome to Domaine Alexandre Parigot: A Legacy of Excellence in Burgundy

Introduction Domaine Parigot, nestled in the heart of Burgundy in the village of Meloisey, is a family-owned estate with a rich history spanning three generations. With 16 hectares of prime vineyards located on the heights of Pommard, the estate is renowned for producing exceptional wines that offer an outstanding price-to-pleasure ratio in both red and white varieties.

A Storied Legacy The roots of Domaine Parigot trace back to the 1950s when Georges Parigot began cultivating a small vineyard in Burgundy. His dedication and hard work enabled him to purchase a tractor in 1950—a rare feat at the time—which significantly boosted his productivity. This allowed him to acquire additional plots, including a significant purchase in Pommard in 1959. It was then that Georges decided to vinify and bottle his cuvées personally, focusing on developing their trade.

In 1968, Georges’ son, Régis, joined him at the estate. Together, they acquired the “Les Vignots” plot in the Pommard appellation. Over the next decade, the father-son duo expanded their holdings with plots in Meursault and Beaune 1er Cru. They also built a modern winery outside the village of Meloisey, setting the stage for the estate’s future growth. The 1990s saw Domaine Parigot’s wines gaining recognition beyond Burgundy, with significant sales abroad. This success enabled further acquisitions in Pommard and Puligny-Montrachet.

The Modern Era Today, the Domaine continues to thrive under the stewardship of Régis’ son, Alexandre. With a deep respect for tradition and a keen eye on innovation, Alexandre has expanded the estate’s reach, acquiring additional plots in Meursault, Pommard, Savigny-les-Beaune, and Nuits-Saint-Georges. The estate now produces approximately 100,000 bottles annually, with wines that embody the essence of the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits.

Exquisite Wines, Domaine Parigot is celebrated for its remarkable range of red wines, including Pommard, Volnay, Beaune, Bourgogne-Hautes-Côtes de Beaune, and Nuits Saint-Georges. These wines are known for their exceptional aromatic purity and structural balance, reflecting the meticulous care and expertise that go into every bottle. Alexandre, like his grandfather and father before him, continues to uphold the family’s tradition of excellence, producing wines that stand among the most prestigious names in Burgundy.

Conclusion Domaine Parigot is not just a winery; it is a legacy of passion, craftsmanship, and an unwavering commitment to quality. Whether you are a connoisseur of fine Burgundy wines or new to the world of wine, a visit to Domaine Parigot offers an opportunity to experience the rich history and superb craftsmanship that define this esteemed estate.
