Domaine Jérôme Patriarche

Domaine Jérôme Patriarche is a relatively new but deeply rooted winery in the prestigious village of Meursault, Burgundy. Though Jérôme Patriarche only began releasing wines under his own label in 2017, the Patriarche family’s connection to viticulture stretches back to the 18th century. Jérôme, along with his partner Laetitia, runs a small, focused estate of around six hectares, producing exclusively white wines. Their vineyards are entirely located in Meursault.

Their wines reflect a meticulous, non-certified organic approach to viticulture. Jérôme practices low-yield farming, manual harvesting, and natural fermentation with minimal intervention in the cellar. The result is expressive wines that capture the essence of the terroir, emphasizing freshness, minerality, and depth.

Domaine Jérôme Patriarche’s standout wines include:

Meursault 1er Cru Les Charmes Dessus: Known for its richness and intensity, this Premier Cru Chardonnay exhibits notes of ripe pear, peach, and vanilla with a full-bodied, creamy texture
Meursault Les Vireuils: A vineyard located on a limestone-rich slope, producing a wine with floral aromas, fresh citrus notes, and a long, mineral finish
Bourgogne Aligoté and Bourgogne Côte-d’Or La Monatine: These regional wines showcase Jérôme’s ability to craft beautifully balanced, approachable wines at more accessible price points

Jérôme Patriarche’s wines are highly regarded for their elegance, balance, and clear expression of the Meursault terroir, offering a unique glimpse into the artistry of white Burgundy.

Expertise

To avoid marking the wines with woody aromas and to preserve the typicity of the terroirs, the aging process lasts between 10 and 12 months in barrels, depending on the cuvées and vintages, with only 10 to 20% new barrels. This approach prioritizes fruit, indulgence, and freshness.
