GEOGRAPHIC SITUATION AND SOIL CHARACTERISTICS: Juliénas and Jullié, Lieu-Dits “Les Paquelets”, “Bois de Chat”, “Les 4 Cerisiers”, “Place des Vignes”, “En Vayolette”, “Bois de la Salle”. Soils: foothills and ancient alluvial deposits, volcanic rocks: blue stones.
SURFACE AREA: 8 hectares
ORIGIN: Juliénas produces one of the ten most renowned crus of Beaujolais. The vine has been cultivated here since the time of Julius Caesar. Facing south and southeast, the vineyard benefits from very favorable exposure. The appellation area spans 600 hectares.
VINIFICATION: The harvest is done manually. The semi-carbonic maceration of Beaujolais is carried out with whole bunches. Pressing occurs after a 10-day maceration, followed by malolactic fermentation and ageing in tank.
