Exposure/Soil: Like Montrachet, which it extends up the slope from 265 to 300 meters in altitude, Chevalier-Montrachet is located on the best slope of Puligny-Montrachet, covering 7 ha 36 a 14 ca. The best part of Chevalier-Montrachet is planted on rendzinas resting on Bajocian and Bathonian limestone. It is a well-drained terroir, facing south/southeast, producing a highly renowned Grand Cru.
Vinification/Ageing: Direct pneumatic pressing, ageing for 12 months in 500-liter barrels (2/3 new barrels), followed by mass ageing in stainless steel tanks for 6 months.
Production: 1,900 bottles.
